Introduction:

Dr Ahmad Ali is a general Thoracic Surgeon who specialises in treating various CHEST diseases. He is one of the leading THORACIC Surgeons at the Department of Thoracic Surgery Services Hospital Lahore/ Services institute of medical sciences Lahore. He pursued his specialization as a General thoracic surgery fellow from the College of physicians and surgeons Pakistan, at a Combined military hospital. Education and training is very important to Dr Ahmad Ali. He aspires to develop thoracic surgery as a leading specialty in Pakistan and take part in training young thoracic surgeons in the country. His dream is to establish a regional center of excellence for the advanced thoracic training of doctors and fellows from the region. Taking the initiative of educating General physicians and health care workers regarding common chest diseases and their treatment… also educating the general population about chest diseases, their prevention and treatment strategies….

I have 10 original research articles published in academic journals and have participated as a guest speaker in many workshops and seminars in the country

Dr Ahmad Ali is (non-cardiac) General Thoracic Surgeon. Procedures that he performs include benign and malignant lung, mediastinal and pleural diseases, VATS (minimal invasive Thoracic Surgery), pulmonary metastasectomy, lung resection post TB and Aspergilloma, esophageal surgery for benign and malignant conditions, tracheal and airway surgery for benign and malignant conditions, VATS/Open Thymectomy, Chest wall congenital deformities, pulmonary and pleural infections including TB,  chest wall tumors and benign lesions, Structural and motility diseases of the diaphragm, Chest Trauma Surgery…. Future goals…> start and establish lung transplant and robotic thoracic surgery in Pakistan…
